Allotments

The Downley Jubilee Allotments have been  operating  for over 30  years and are a valuable community asset for residents’ leisure time.

They are located at Mannings Field, Downley Common  on the same site as the cricket nets and the 2 football pitches.

There are 26 plots each 6 poles in size and rents are £20 per annum. 

There is a long waiting list of over 15  people and it has become the policy of the Parish Council  to let in half plots in order to  shorten the list more quickly.

A skip is provided by the Council each Spring to encourage a general tidy up of the plots.

The main pathways between plots are cut through the year by contractors.
